In the last 16 months, my buyer agency team and I acquired properties in this manner:
1. A pre-foreclosure (without any sign of marketing) we remodeled and sold
2. A for-sale-by-owner we subsequently remodeled and sold
3. A finished house (FSBO) we acquired from another investor and rented
4. A house that was never marketed (in our sphere of influence) we remodeled and sold
5. A house that was never actively marketed; we flipped to a do-it-yourselfer as-is
6. A house bought at the courthouse steps that is used for rental.
7. A tax-lien house that was flipped to an investor for rehab
